1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Extremely Nice

I am the second owner of this awesome Chevelle, which was sold new in Phoenix, Arizona. I have owned the car for 12 years, love the car, but have the itch for a new toy. Color is Bolero Red, an original 67 Chevelle hue, though the car was originally white.

All original body panels except the cowl hood and the panel between the back glass and the trunk. I did all the work on this car except for the body work and paint. the body shop bill was over $20,000. Dick Adam did the work. Dick is a local legend whenever the subject of flawless paint comes up. The floor pans and trunk floor are original and no rust repair was necessary.

The car originally had a bench seat, I switched to correct 67 Bucket seats, which are a one year only seat. I used a Chevelle 300 dash, which makes for a less cluttered look. There is a radio delete plate, you listen to the 3 inch fully stainless Flow Master exhaust. I did not like the look of the reproduction dash pads, so I sent the original to Just Dashes for refurbishment.

All the aluminum bright trim on the front, and all 8 side aluminum trim moldings were NOS GM parts, as were the taillamp bezels, the trim across the back, and front and rear lenses. I used stainless 65 Chevelle backup lamp delete panels on the rear bumper. Both bumpers are the originals, had the backside of them bead blasted, then rechromed, then painted the backside.

The frame and all suspension pieces, bumper brackets, core support, inner fenders, etc were powder coated. I added later model Chevelle single piston front discs, Hurst line lock using a manual master from a 69 Corvette application.

Auto Meter gauges, tach, oil pressure warning light, shift light monitor the vitals. A Be Cool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keep the 600 HP, 605 ft/lbs, 540 CID Merlin cool.

Trans is a 400, with shift kit, aluminum driveshaft, with a drive shaft loop. Then there's the Moser 12 bolt differential with the 2" raised upper bushings to improve the instant center and the c-clip eliminators, using 3.73 gears.

The AirLift bags inside the coil springs to use unequal air pressure for straight launches and adjustable rear upper arms. Almost forgot the F41 rear sway bar with the correct boxed lower trailing arms. The 28-12.50x15 Mickey Thompson ET Streets fill the wheel opening and NEVER rub anywhere. Front tires are Moroso. Funny.. the rear M/TS are street legal but the front Morosos are not. The long wheel studs keep the NHRA tech inspector happy. Car has run a best ET of 11.38 on a cool night. This on pump premium, through the mufflers and just as you see it in the photos.

My wife thinks I am crazy for selling, but it is time for something different.
