This completely professionally built '55 Gasser, will certainly push all the right buttons for a Gasser fan!
Only the finest components were used to build this '60's nostalgic Gasser that is an absolute blast to drive. The black paint is absolutely beautiful, cut and polished to a deep mirror shine that my wife calls
the glamor shot of the "Two-Lane Blacktop" car.
If you're not familiar with the movie "Two-Lane Blacktop" was a 1971 film featuring James Taylor (the singer), and Dennis Wilson (of the Beach Boys) racing for money, and racing a 1970 GTO Judge driven by Warren Oats across the country. Lots of cool motor-head scenes...Check it out!
Aside from the beautiful paint, the 502 engine starts right up and runs so well with that "cammie" sound we all love. The engine is very strong, and has never been raced. I know, I know, it has such an ominous look that you figure it must have been raced, but no, strictly driven on the road its entire 1,614 miles.
The Super T-10 transmission is strong as well, and shifts perfectly, the 9" Ford with nodular iron case is very strong as well.
Make no mistake, this is a beautiful, powerful '55 Gasser, but additionally, this particular Gasser drives very nice, and true down the road. The brakes work great, and even though the vintage steering wheel isn't of the 18" diameter variety, this Chevy is pretty easy to drive.
The frame has been boxed, and all of the suspension components are of a very fine top quality. This wasn't some "backyard" build. This is a professionally built Nostalgic Gasser '55 Chevy that will thrill, and impress even the most discerning hot rodder. High quality throughout!
