This 1964 Dodge 426-4BBL Polara 500 2-door Hardtop has been sold.
Vehicle ID #6442141791, with all correct matching numbers
Current odometer-90,000 miles but only 4500 since complete restoration.
This vehicle was manufactured at the Michigan Hamtramck Plant.
This vehicle features perfect original color Anniversary Gold exterior paint in perfect condition, showing no dents, scratches or any previous body damage.
Chrome, rubber moldings and all glass are in new or like new condition.
All exterior and interior emblems are correct.
The interior features new correct vinyl front bucket seats and bench seat rear in correct gold color.
There were only 17,787 1964 Dodge Polara 500 2 door hard tops manufactured with U.S.A specification.
This is #3 of 12 in sequence of 1964 426 4BBL Polara Hardtop registered at the Hamtramck plant.
Included with this vehicle is the A727 Torqueflite automatic transmission, power brakes, 426 single 4BBL carburetor 365 horsepower 8-cylinder street Wedge engine.
70 amp HD battery,
Posi-traction 3:23 rear axle and dual exhaust system.
The interior of this vehicle has the original AM Dodge radio, the optional performance indicator, located on the center shift console, with 3-speed automatic shifter.
New window guides, headliner, carpets, and tinted windows complete this perfect interior.
The trunk of this vehicle has been refinished in a zolotone-type gray spackle paint, with new vinyl mat, new full size spare tire and original jacking tools.
New BF Goodrich Radial T/A P 225/60 R14 tires are mounted on original 1964 5 spoke American Racing Equipment 7” wheels in front, while P225/60 R15 tires are mounted on 8 1/2 American racing spoke rims in the rear.
The 426 cubic inch engine has been completely rebuilt, including new cam, hoses, belts, radiator, alternator, distributor, steering box, headers, stainless steel valves, balanced crank shaft, and carburetor.
The transmission has also been completely rebuilt.
Front and rear suspension, including ball joints, shocks, and front and rear brake assemblies.
The engine compartment and undercarriage are in complete showroom and/or show condition.
Many other new parts have been used in the total restoration of this car.
This vehicle deserves special consideration as being one that the factory would use as a prototype for show purposes.
Was originally sent to California after production and bought there.
Spent 45 years there and now is in Oregon.
This car is also in the Chrysler registry and inspected by Galen Govier.
