$159000.00 This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Stingray Coupe has been sold. PURE STOCK RESTORATION For the buyer seeking a genuine, investment quality vehicle pedigreed completely as it was built, here is a beautiful second generation (C2) Corvette coupe that fits the bill. This car was cosmetically restored several years ago by a professional Southern California restoration shop, and it has been kept in like new condition by its owner since. The drive train and all mechanical, electrical, exterior and interior components have been completely renewed, renovated, restored and returned to showroom condition. The suspension components, brakes, bearings, bushings, steering links, belts, hoses, cooling system, interior trim, carpet, rubber and glass are new in appearance. The engine starts instantly, runs wonderfully, and emits the familiar rumble the 327 CID V8 engine is known for. This is a stellar Corvette that can be driven anywhere, or as a rock solid investment vehicle, it will stand up in any first class auto collection. This gorgeous Sebring Silver 1963 Corvette split window coupe was sold new in the Los Angeles area and was owned and sparingly driven by its original owner for nearly 2 decades, before being acquired by the seller/second owner in the 1980s. The coupe rolled off the St. Louis assembly line equipped with the SD code 300 horsepower engine and 2 speed Powerglide automatic transmission. That original power train still remains in this Vette. It rolled off the St. Louis assembly line 60 years ago, in December of 1962. The code 941A paint was refreshed during the restoration, as was the black vinyl interior and carpeting. Viewing the car today, it is hard to believe that six decades have passed since its debut. The paint presents in excellent show condition with no stress cracks, nor are there any scratches, chips or blemishes. The glass shows no pitting, cracks or discoloration. Chrome and badges are above average and the BBQ grill hood inserts are original – in spectacular condition. Even the fuel filler door is original. The console is excellent and the pushbutton AM/FM radio that it came with is included in the sale, but that unit has been upgraded with an aftermarket concert hall sound system (a speaker console in the rear of the cargo area is removable and no modifications were made to accommodate the new radio). Oh yeah, the original clock still keeps good time. This immaculate Sting Ray coupe would please anyone, but serious buyers are invited to come to Las Vegas to inspect this spectacular car and be assured of its exceptional condition. Fewer and fewer unmolested, original split window coupes survive, and a steady increase in their value has been evident for decades. The VIN is 30837S105628. Click Here for more pictures!
