Summer is HERE! And this is the perfect summer cruiser! This Dune Buggy, coined "The Doom Buggy" due to it's ultra exceptional, ominous, yet bright paint scheme by a very obviously exceptional Painter/Airbrush artist is a magnet for attention. Whether your at a car show, a cruise-in, or bombin' down the boulevard this Manx-style Linton "Brush Buggy" is nearly impossible to miss.
This may be the nicest dune buggy around. Sure, you could take it to the dunes and buzz around, but this particular car is so nice, and the paint, workmanship everywhere you look is exceptional. Therefore, you may want to fore-go the sand, but, hey, whatever you want to do.
These dune buggy's we're popularized right along side the surf scene in the 1960's. And what better way to re-capture some of that vibe by having a super cool dune buggy?
The paint is a heavy metallic deep purple base with interwoven yellow and orange flames with some amazing airbrushed ques that make this open air buggy very unique and very quality. The paint workmanship is just the icing on the cake. The custom interior is very comfortable and well thought out, from the well placed gauges, shifting position, and unlimited visibility.
The engine, the transmission, the transaxle, and for that matter the entire build have accumulated just 540 total miles. The Doom Buggy with it's 29 Ghosts phantomed into the paint scheme not only looks phenomenal, but is an absolute kick to drive. The 1600cc bug engine has good power, the clutch operation is easy, and the transmission not only shifts smoothly, but has a nice short performance throw. Underneath this dune buggy you'll find a clean, painted extremely well preserved chassis as well as nice suspension components and brake system.
The steering wheel and column are also VW and are painted to match the exterior and dash. You'll notice a bright chrome roll bar jutting between the front and back seats, well, that just adds to the total package that this dune buggy offers.
The Kenwood stereo works great and is complemented by that custom Boom Box sitting in the rear seat.
If you've ever considered one of these ultra cool, super fun dune buggy's, but just couldn't find one that was nice enough, maybe needed too much work, and had questionable build quality, well this might be the one for you as it is just about as cool, and quality as it gets!!! Surfs up!
